How to fix qTranslate changing languages when pressing home button

19 Mar

qTranslate is a WordPress plugin that allows you to install multiple languages for your blog. The only problem with it is that when you press the Home button, it will switch back to the default language. So, I searched for a fix for this problem, and I manage to find one that actually worked.

Problem:

qTranslate automatically changes languages when pressing Home button

Fix:

  • Locate your functions.php file in your theme directory on your FTP. If you can’t access FTP, go to Dashboard -> Appeareance -> Editor -> functions.php
  • open for edit
  • go to the end of the file, right before the last ?>
  • add the following code before ?> and press update/save

the code:

add_filter('wp_nav_menu_items','qtrans_in_nav_function');
function qtrans_in_nav_function ($nav){

$url = get_bloginfo('url');
$url_preg = preg_replace('/\//', '\/', $url);

$qtrans_url = qtrans_convertURL($url);

$nav = preg_replace('/('.$url_preg.')(\/id)/', $url, $nav);
$nav = preg_replace('/('.$url_preg.')/', $qtrans_url, $nav);

return $nav;
}

You’re done now! It should work if you refresh the page. If it’s not working, try it in a clean browser! It worked for me.

How to add XML Sitemap to Blogger

19 Oct

There are multiple services that allows you to create the XML file from URL, but Blogger has some limitations uploading that file to the domain. I’m promoting a Blogger blog really hard these days, and the XML Sitemap it’s a must! My method works for normal blogger blogs, and for custom domains (like the one I’m using right now).

So, here are the steps you need to follow in order to add XML Sitemap to Blogger:

  1. Use this Sitemap Generator to create the XML for your blog (it will generate a text in the upper part of the page)
  2. Go to your Blogger dashboard, navigate to Settings – > Search Preferences -> Custom Robots. Enable this option (you will see a new text field area)
  3. Paste the code you got in step 1 to the Custom Robots text field.
  4. Save the changes

You’re done. I hope it helps..

1.Open blogger dashboard, go to design > template designer > html editor

2.Search for “.post-body{
3. Paste text-align:justify; before the “}” end.
4. Save the template

That’s all. Now all the blogger text should be align with justify option.
